Dear Family and Friends, this courageous, tough, sensitive, resilient woman symbolized integrity - a trait most human beings seem to have lost over time. I didn't know her, but admire her strength in standing by what she believed was right by the whales. Although saddened by her loss, we should be gladdened she was here at all. Rest in peace, dear friend of whales.

I had not heard of Alberta until today but had tears in my eyes when reading of her efforts. It reminds us of the postive impact one person can have and that they can leave the world a better place. 5 whales would have been the very thin end of the wedge and she saw that. You were a brave person standing up for the whales when others sought to kill them. Hold your head high and your people should also be proud you were one of them. Your life and principles should be used as an example for other.
