Alberta was a brave woman who put the needs of those who could not protect themselves before her own comfort or safety. She spoke out when others retreated in fear. Her wisdom and caring will be missed in regions far beyond her community. She was a great warrior, but one who fought without violence.
Rest in peace, Alberta, may the Creator carry you across the great waters to a place of great joy.

I would like to express our deepest sympathy in the loss of Alberta. Although I did not know her personally, I read a wonderful tribute to the love she shared for saving the whales. God Bless Alberta and keep her family in his love. Thank you Alberta for being such a strong, passionate woman.

I never knew Alberta Thompson personally, but I share her courage and support for the whales and all that she did to protect them. Please accept my condolences and know that her activism has impacted many, including my self.
