Obituary

Gladys Mae Pressley, 84, formally of Port Angeles, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, WA.
Gladys was born on March 18, 1935 in Sheridan, WY to the late Carl Henry Henke and Stella Pearl Birdie. In grade school she was a marble champ, in high school she was a volleyball player and everyday after school, she would work at her parents co-op store in McMinnville, Oregon. After high school Gladys went into the healthcare field working with cancer patients and in-home private care. In October of 1983 she opened up Peninsula Manor an assisted living facility which she owned and operated for over 34 years.
Gladys loved playing the piano, bowling, pinochle, camping at the ocean, baking, dancing, christmas, caring for her pets and spending time with her grandchildren. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She taught us, laughter, strength and love. She had the best laugh, a lot of sass and one of the biggest hearts imaginable. One of the safest places you could be was embraced in her hug.
Gladys is survived by her daughters, Cindy L. (Wesley) Myers, Shelly K. Pressley, Christy L. Pressley, Sheryl K. (Kenneth) Kienholz; son, Kelly J. Pressley; daughter in law, Teresa Stark; brother, Richard (Donita) Henke; stepsons, Jimmy (Helen) Pressley, Robert (Kathy) Pressley; 23 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and her beloved pets, Bella and Puff.
Gladys is preceded in death by her son, Randy C. Stark; step daughter, Nancy J. Momeni; sisters, Norma Jean Elliott, Helen P. Balch; brother, Fred Henke; husbands, Jay Dean Pressley, Robert P. Stretton and her beloved pets, Ruxie, Cheech and Chong.
