Janet Marie
Lane
Nov 25, 1960 — Jul 10, 2024
Janet Marie Lane, 63 passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 25, 1960 to Burt and Doris Senf who preceded her in death, Janet was the heart of the family, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and endless support.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Robert Lane and their only child Danni Lane, brother Burt Jr. (Julie) Senf, sister Deborrah (Jay) Morgan, brother Greg (Darcie) Senf, sister-in-law Barbara Welcher, sister-in-law Donna (Richard) Kayser and brother-in-law John (Diana) Lane. Janet's love extended to her many cherished nieces and nephews who will forever remember her as "Aunt Angel Janet". Janet loved her husband, Robert, with all her heart. Their marriage was a beautiful example of love and partnership.
After moving to Port Angeles in 1986 Janet spent the next 33 years as the office manager for the family business, Quality 4 X 4 and Truck Supply.
Janet was a whirlwind of love and laughter. Known for her caring nature and dependability, she was the rock everyone leaned on. Whether you needed a shoulder to cry on, an event planned, a last-minute birthday cake, Janet was always there, supportive and fun, making life a bit brighter for everyone around her. Her enthusiasm was infectious.
Janet had a special talent for turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. Her cakes were a work of art, and no one did Christmas like Janet. Her tree was always a masterpiece, with each ornament holding a special place in her heart. She carried on the wonderful tradition (handed down from her mother) of baking Christmas cookies to share with everyone, and that sweet tradition will continue through her family.
A memorial service for Janet will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Ocean View Cemetery, 3127 W 18th St, Port Angeles, WA. Celebration of Life to follow.
