Jeannine Yvonne Allen of Sequim, WA passed away April 18, 2021 at the age of 92 from age-related causes.

She was born in Wichita, KS to Elmer Francis Tannehill and Alberta Rose (Gaskill) Tannehill. She graduated from Wichita High School North, and studied Liberal Arts at Wichita University, where she met her husband, Thomas Preston Allen Jr. They were married on December 18, 1947 in Wichita.

Jeannine worked as an Executive Secretary at the Marriott Hotel in Wichita. She came to the Olympic Peninsula upon retirement in 1986.

Jeannine loved travel, gardening, reading, politics, bridge, and she was a regular patron of Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra and Olympic Theater Arts, as well as a keeper of the Dungeness Lighthouse.

She is survived by daughters Deborah Lynn Ferguson of Sequim, WA and Jena Marie Olsen (Jeffrey) of Chicago, IL; son Trip Allen of Seattle, WA; grandchildren Shawn David Penner (Wichita, KS), Jason Patrick Ferguson (Sequim, WA), Rebecca Rose Allen (Seattle, WA), and Michael Thomas Allen (Bellingham, WA); great-grandchildren Colten Penner, Chase Penner (Wichita, KS), and Boaz Samuel Allen Berey (Seattle, WA).

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Preston Allen, Jr., daughter-in-law Rosemary Kropf Allen, and brother James Harvey Tannehill.
