John Lawrence Palzer passed away peacefully at the age of 83 in his home in Port Angeles on July 1 st , 2021.
John is survived by his son, Mark Palzer; his grandchildren, John and Joshua Palzer; his brother Anthony Palzer; his sister Josephine Befort. John is predeceased by his son, Paul Palzer; his daughter, Lisa Palzer; his wife Sue Palzer; his siblings Antoinette Knuckols, Sister Gabriela Palzer, Anne Kretchner, Marie Reuter, Augustus Palzer, Betty Limbocker, Roaalia LaVan, Christian Palzer, Francis Palzer, Benedict Palzer, Patricia Palzer; his parents Casper Palzer and Anna Poncelet.
John was born on March 28 th , 1938 in Wabasha Minnesota. Shortly after graduating high school John moved to Alaska to work with his brothers creating their own manufacturing housing business. While working John also attended the University of Alaska where he received a bachelor's degree in accounting. It was in Fairbanks where he met his eventual wife, Sue Palzer. John and Sue soon married and gave birth to three children Mark, Paul, and Lisa. The family moved to California where John worked as an accountant for Disney. John and his family lived in California for 7 years before moving to Oklahoma. Here John would work as one of the lead accountants for a major project to build the Williams tower in Tulsa. It was the tallest building in Oklahoma at the time. John would later continue his entrepreneur mentality and venture into running his own businesses in home sales and property management. In his later years John would once again team up with his partner in crime, Anthony (Tony) Palzer. John and Tony would spend time rotating between their summer home in Port Angeles and their winter home in Rockport, Texas. Together they would tackle every project you could conceive of, all while spending time in two beautiful locations that they loved.
John is lovingly remembered as a selfless father and grandfather who continuously strove to ensure his family was well provided and cared for. Whether it was medical care or education John saw to it that his family was given opportunities. John always encouraged one to be the best version of themselves. John was truly one of a kind and will be missed.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11am on July 23 rd at the Queen of Angels church in Port Angeles, Washington. Flowers and condolences may be offered at 132 Hoffman Road, Port Angeles, Washington, 98363.
