Obituary

Josephine Collette Brown (Jo-Jo), born April 25, 1943, in Seattle, died on February 10, 2021, in Yuma, Arizona, from Covid-19.

JoJo was the youngest of four children born to Glenn Todd and Caroline Reader-Todd. She was blessed to have two great loves in her vibrant and wonderful life.

Her first love, Thomas Brown, created three daughters; Michelle, Byrd, and Dani. In their younger years JoJo and Tom enjoyed their home on Lake Crescent with their family and all of their friends throughout the years.

Tom and JoJo loved to hunt, fish, smelt, go clam digging and camping with the family. They spent a lot of time traveling throughout Mexico, their favorite place being Merida where they lived part of each year. Tom unfortunately passed away in 1996, which was very difficult.

She met her second great love, Ken Simpson, Poppy to the girls, and they enjoyed traveling, riding their Harley and spending their winters in Yuma, Arizona. JoJo also enjoyed weekly poker in Yuma and spending time with her wonderful group of friends in Arizona.

In her later years, JoJo enjoyed getting close with her sisters, Jimmie and Margaret. Their adventures included traveling across the U.S. together twice and going to the casino.

JoJo was a vibrant soul who loved to have fun with her daughters, sisters, beloved brother, Chuck, and Sheryl Todd, and all of her friends. She enjoyed everything from camping to karaoke with a special emphasis on dressing up and going out to eat. She loved good food, good wine, and great company.

She is survived by daughters Michelle (Paul) Gleckl, Byrd (Randy) Alderson and Dani Brown. She also leaves behind to grieve her loss her beloved grandchildren, Jessica and Ricky Alderson, Alex Gleckl, CJ and Tomi Jo Wilson; two-great grandchildren with another on the way. She is also survived by her love and partner, Ken Simpson; siblings, Jimmie, Margaret and Chuck Todd.

She lived an exciting life full of adventure, always surrounded by family and friends. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date, as circumstances allow.
