Margaret Ann
Rickard
Feb 20, 1934 — Jul 5, 2021
Port Angeles
Margaret was born in Seattle to Mel and Anna Zdrahal Roediger. She moved to Wenatchee in 1939 and was raised there. She attended Stevens Grade School, H.B. Ellison Junior High, and Wenatchee High School, graduating in 1951. She worked at General Telephone prior to her marriage to Ron Rickard. They were divorced in 1976.
In 1962 she moved to Port Angeles with her family. From 1963 to 1995 she worked at the local Salvation Army Thrift Store, first as a clerk and then as a manager. She retired in 1995 after 32 years of employment. She missed the customers the most when she retired since a lot of them were around all those years. She saw babies grow up in front of her eyes and they still remembered her when they saw her.
Surviving are a son, James and his wife Martha of San Diego, CA. Siblings who survive her are her sister, Marie Wilson and husband Paul of Spanaway and her brother, Larry Roediger and wife Jan of Olympia. She is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Danny, and two brothers, Jerry and Johnny Roediger.
At her request, there will be no services.
Drennan & Ford Funeral Home in Port Angeles was entrusted with her arrangements. Please sign the online guestbook for her family at www.drennanford.com .
