Mona Lee Murray was born in 1935 in Port Angeles, WA to Lloyd "Red" Edwin and
Edith Corey Johnson, and died August 22, 2022.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Edward (Dave) David Murray and Christopher Lawerence Murray. Mona is survived by her husband, Edward David Murray, and three children, Monica Hobaugh,
Alisa Karl, and Mark Murray.

Mona graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1952. A few years later, she married
Ed Murray, who she'd be with for 66 more years. During those years, Mona would raise
five children, play violin and banjo in many bands with her husband, and move around
the State of Washington before returning to where she grew up here in Port Angeles.

She was raised on the land that is now part of the Olympic National Park on the Elwha
River and would love taking her kids, grandkids, and grandchildren there to show them
where she played as a child. Mona's favorite pastimes were spending time with her
family, playing and listening to music, and camping.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Queen of Angels Church in Port Angeles on Thursday,
September 1 at 11:00 a.m., graveside following at Ocean View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send
donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
