Phyllis Rae (Konopaski) Gagnon passed away on Nov. 4th, 2024, at Dungeness Courte in Sequim, she was 95 just one month short of her 96th birthday. Born Dec.13th 1928 in Sappho, WA. She lived a vibrant life characterized by her love for socializing and her smart fashion sense. Phyllis grew up attending Beaver primary school and later graduating from Clallam Bay High School. She then attended Seattle Business school which paved the way for her career. She worked in her family store in her younger days and when older spent some summers as a cocktail waitress. Her career took a change when Seafirst bank came to Clallam Bay. She started off as a teller and worked up to the branch manager, which she continued until she retired. When not working she enjoyed activities such as gardening, beach combing, painting and she was passionate about cooking and baking. She also loved to play cribbage. Phyllis leaves behind a loving family, her daughter Yvonne (Vonnie) DeForest, son Bruce Gagnon, daughter-in-law Diana Gagnon, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Flora (Simmons) Konopaski, Father Raymond Konopaski, sister Phanoy Waldron, first husband Delmar "Buzz" Gagnon, second husband Orvile Campbell and son Vernon Craig Gagnon. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Drennan & Ford 260 Monroe Rd., Port Angeles, at 1 PM Thursday Nov. 14th. Phyllis will be remembered as a charismatic person with enduring influence on those around her.
