Obituary

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our son Robert J Parks. He was 39 and passed away on September 19, 2022, from sudden cardiac arrest.

Robert was born on September 6, 1983, to parents Richard and Donna Parks, in Kennewick, Washington.

Robert loved reading, geology, online role-playing games and building with stones. When young, he attended grade school in Kansas. Robert became a stonemason and bricklayer in his late teens, working with his older brother in Maryland.

In his 20's Robert moved back to Washington State to be near family and attended Spokane Community College for his associate degree. At 30 Robert went to Hawaii to help family and attended the University of Hawaii, to obtain his bachelor's degree in accounting. Robert left Hawaii in the summer of 2018 to live with his family in Washington.

Robert was a loyal and compassionate person, always there to help others if he could. He had a wonderful voice and a laugh that was guaranteed to brighten your day. Robert was a quiet & private person, much like his Grandpa Harrington. Robert would have loved a cabin in the mountains surrounded with trees, living alone with nature and his books.

Robert was predeceased by his maternal grandfather George Harrington, paternal grandparents Garland and Mildred Parks, his Aunts Linda and Janet Parks. He is survived by his parents Rick and Donna Parks, his brother Eric and wife Chrissy Parks, his sister Sara Parks, his brothers Justin and Kevin Parks, his maternal grandmother Donna Harrington, his Uncles George and wife Sherri Harrington, Dan and wife Janet Harrington, Wayne and wife Becky Harrington, Rod and wife Cindy Harrington, Doug and wife Tonya Harrington, Dave and wife Clydean Harrington and George Parks. His Aunts Nancy and husband David Mayor, Melissa and husband Greg Johnson along with a host of family and friends. Drennan & Ford Funeral Home and Crematory in Port Angeles, Washington has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Ceremony will be held privately with close family only.
