Obituary

Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Vivian Dooley entered into eternal rest peacefully on November 22, 2020, at the age of 95, surrounded by family.

Vivian was born on February 14, 1925 in Pico Rivera, California, to her parents Charles and Cora Harris. She grew up in the LA area where she graduated high school. She met and married her husband, Kenneth Dooley, in 1944.

They celebrated 65 years of marriage before Kenneth's death in 2009. During her life she moved to Eugene and Roseburg, Oregon; Yakima; and finally, Port Angeles. She raised three children, Terry, Patty, and Greg.

During her lifetime she worked as a bookkeeper, both in banking and businesses, and she worked in several small personal businesses where she met and made many friends.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Kenneth Dooley (2009) and daughter Patty Konrad (2014).

She is survived by two children, Terry (Diane) Dooley of Port Angeles; son-in-law Timothy (Jean) Konrad of Lynnwood; five grandchildren, Erin Dooley of San Francisco, California, Christopher (Melanie) Dooley of Sacramento, California, Matthew (Christina) Konrad of Bothell, Rachel Konrad of Port Angeles, and Adam Konrad of Ohio; and three great-grandchildren, Abigail Konrad and Caleb Konrad of Lynnwood and Dustin Smith of Port Angeles.

Vivian was a caring and compassionate woman who loved to be with family and friends. Her love of family gatherings and her love of life will be well remembered by all. She had a restless energy to throw herself into anything she saw worth her time and effort. She loved to be in the middle of parties and large family dinners. Vivian's love of God was her deepest commitment and she shared that love with everyone.

Vivian will be greatly missed, but she's been welcomed to eternal life by her Heavenly Father and we know that she will be in the middle of that great gathering with all of her family and other who preceded her.

A celebration of life is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at First United Methodist Church, 110 E. Seventh St., Port Angeles. The Reverend Tom Steffan will officiate.
