Obituary

Born on June 15, 1948, to John L. and Bonnie B. (Nicholson) Howard in Vallejo, California, Loismae went to the angels on August 11, 2014.

She is survived by her brother, William L. Howard; sister Bonnie D. Hall; and nieces Bonnie J. Spratt and Rachel M. Hall. Most importantly, she is survived by her many friends and students.

Loismae shared her love of music with the world by teaching adults and children alike. She taught music as a volunteer at Crescent School and inspired many to embrace their love of music.

She passionately wrote songs, sang and played the piano, banjo, guitar, flute and violin.

In the past several years, she recorded her own CDs.

She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed growing much of her own food. Loismae always had an open door where she enjoyed sharing meals with friends.

She aspired to getting back to the basics of life and a more simple way of living. Loismae built two of her homes, one in Joyce and one in Dallas, Oregon.

Friends will remember her generous gifts, watching her sketch, her smile, those blue eyes and warm hugs.

A potluck celebration of her life will be held at the Black Diamond Community Hall, 1942 Black Diamond Road, Port Angeles, on Sunday, September 7, at noon. Please come share stories, play music and just enjoy memories of our dear friend.

Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, Port Angeles, was entrusted with her arrangements.
